Adventures In The Florida Wilds - Saddle Creek

Five miles of hiking and these photos are the result.

This guy practically slithered across our feet.  It scared the shit out of Nick.

This photo doesn't do justice to the incline.  I'm surprised I had the energy to take the picture after climbing up this (almost sliding down twice in the process).

  1. Turkey vultures, Lantanas, and those little flowers that look like miniature daisies that I used to give to my mother from our yard - love 'em!

    Was that an Indigo snake?

How many alligators did you see? Or are those multiple pictures of the same guy or girl?

    Yea - turtle!

  2. Only nine on this trip. Didn't photograph them all because I didn't have great views. Most of the trails had poor or non-existent water views.

  3. Wow! And I saw your other post about 40 alligators on one hike. Eesh! Were some of those babies?

  4. There have been some younger ones but I think we've only ever spotted a couple of what I would call babies. The day we saw 40 at Circle B Bar they were mostly large adults.
