Let me preface this post by saying that you may think me trivial.
I have an aquaintance who I am also friends with on Facebook. I would never actually call us "friends" in the real world. We simply run in two circles that occasionally intersect. During the recent election cycle both Nick and I were on the verge of unfriending her due to her political posts on Facebook. I have friends with views that are similar to mine and friends with views that differ from mine, so it wasn't just the fact that her opinions were different from ours. It was the kind of ridiculous regurgitated untruths and exaggerated fabrications that only someone who is severly ignorant would repeat. In the end, we just ignored her posts and life moved on.
Since then she has continued to make assinine statements reaffirming my opinion of her. After a particular post today I decided to "unfriend" her. Today she posted that she was substituting for a music teacher who was out. The regular teacher had left Fantasia to be shown to her classes for the day. I don't recall the exact wording of her post (and now that I've deleted her I can't see her post) but the post ended with her saying that the movie and showing it to the class was "stupid".
Putting aside my love of Disney, this statement still enraged me. Stupid? You don't have to like a piece of art but to call it stupid in the way that she did shows a level of ignorance that I find intolerable. Had it been a math class or a typing class or a physical education class than perhaps the showing of it could be considered odd or even stupid but this was a music class watching a "concert movie" with a soundtrack of classical music conducted by a renowned conducter. It seems perfectly logical to me.
Boy, it feels better to get that out.

Twentieth of the Tarot series, the Star. The background started as a lovely pastoral photograph. With some digital painting and enhancements I arrived at the final background. On top of that I added the altered image of my model and other embellishments to achieve the final result.

Every day on my way to and from work I pass this abandoned travel trailer set back off of the road. I've been wanting to stop and take a look inside for some time and finally had a chance on Sunday.
Groovy pattern on the cupboard door.
