On our first trip to Sandia Peak we took the aerial tram up the mountain and then rode the ski lift down the opposite side of the mountain and back up again. The ski lift ride was a half hour each way and offered fantastic opportunities to obtain sunburns which we had not anticipated. You just don't expect to get sunburnt when it's fifty degrees outside but I suppose when you're ten thousand feet closer to the sun than usual it might make a difference.
