Absolutely beautiful! The last time I went had to be 1983 or before. I remember Shark Encounter was new, and they were filming or had recently filmed JAWS 3-D at Sea World. There was a display of the mechanical sharks used in the movie, and we received posters for the film. That may be the only time my family went to the park. If I remember correctly, my parents were inspired by my raving over the 5th grade school field trip.
It seems like my elementary school classes went to a theme park at least once a year - Sea World, Circus World, Cypress Gardens. In middle school/junior high we did things like go to warehouses and corporate offices to learn about jobs, the Sun-n-Fun Fly In, and my Home Ec class went to some agricultural fair and livestock auction. My only high school excursions were going to Spanish language plays and the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor. Funny how the ratio of recreation to education shifted over the years.
