Clouds

Still haven't been able to adjust to the physical demands and time consumption of my new job.  I never know when I'm going to get home in the evening and when I do I'm to exhausted to do anything.    Here's a couple of pictures I snapped the same evening as my last post.  The sunset and clouds were so lovely.

I Survived

My first week at my new job and somehow I managed to survive.  It's very hot and very physical and a couple of days I almost passed out from the combination of muscle pain and heat exhaustion but I survived.  Now I will enjoy this three day weekend and try to prepare myself for what I'm sure will be four extremely long days next week.  I say this because while my start time is definite, the end time depends on when the day's work is done.  With us being closed on Monday I'm sure the rest of the week will be playing catch up.  For instance, yesterday morning I went in at six and we didn't get finished until 5:30.

Probably the worst part of the last week was that even after getting home each night I was either to exhausted or in to much pain to do anything except shower, rehydrate, eat, and lay in bed.  This means I've had no time for artistic endeavors.  Perhaps this will balance at some point.

I Am Destroyed

So today (well, yesterday by the time anyone might read this) was my first day of work and I am completely destroyed.  Don't get me wrong, it was a good day.  It's just that I am beyond exhausted and every part of me aches.  Hopefully I can adjust to the physicality of the job fairly quickly.  All I've wanted to do since I got off work was to climb into bed and vegetate but it's Monday which means taking Granny to the library and having dinner and running errands.  But finally I've reached the bed for which I yearned and I have no intention of getting out of it again tonight if I can help it.  Hey, can you pass the bedpan?
