Hiking Again

Went to Circle B for a hike today for the first time in ages.

Yesterday morning we decided to brave the heat and humidity for a quick hike at Circle B Bar Reserve.  It was like a sauna.  Even the gators stayed submerged in the cool water for the most part.

This guy had just caught himself from lunch and kept running from me.  I snagged this picture just before he disappeared into the brush.

The water was teeming with fish.

I wouldn't think that cypress knees would make comfortable pillows.

Someone had made a memorial to this poor butterfly on the trail.
