Getting a snack after work today and what do I see but a frog on the kitchen window.  Upon closer inspection I found it was eating a lizard!

Wild Creatures In 100% Humidity

Hiking in Florida in summer can be rough and this one certainly was.  Four miles, one hour and forty-five minutes, ninety-three degrees, unpleasant all the way around.  It was even to hot for the animals and we saw far fewer of them than usual.  On the flip side, we did see some in some unusual places as they tried to stay cool.  Some of these locations made it very difficult to photograph them but I did what i could.

Our first stop is Hollywood Studios outside of Indiana Jones where this wonderful cotton-like stuff was blooming on a tree.  The trunk of the tree is covered in thorns as seen in the second picture.  I believe it is a silk cotton tree.

The next four pictures are from the Animal Kingdom.  The first two are from the wandering paths of Maharajah Jungle Trek (one of my favorite photo locations).  The second two are from the Oasis.

Off to EPCOT where we find some succulents and a sunflower. 

Port Orleans Riverside offers us these beautiful flowers and some palmetto in bloom.

And finally a little something from the wilds of Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom.
